Star wars: the bad batch

It is almost May the 4th Day, that means that The Bad Batch will be released on Disney Plus.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is an upcoming animated series created by David Filoni. It is part of the Star Wars franchise and is a sequel and spin off. The events in the show occur during the period between Revenge of The Sith and A New Hope. Order 66 has commenced, and the Republic has changed into the Galactic Empire. Clone Force 99 (The Bad Batch) is a group of elite rogue clone troopers with genetic mutations that were first introduced in season 7 of The Clone Wars.

The Bad Batch characters consist of Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, and Echo.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is a spinoff from the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, following the aftermath of the bad batch clones in the aftermath of order 66. David Filoni, the creator of the series, says,

“It’s a fun show, I’m very excited about it. It’s very much in the vein of Clone Wars. It follows the legacy that we started way back with George [Lucas] of telling very, very exciting adventure stories in the style of Clone Wars. It does aspire to the look and scale of those adventures… the audience really demands to have the animated series be epic.”

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is scheduled to premiere on May 4th, 2021, Star Wars Day, with a special 70-minute episode. The second episode will premiere on May 7th, 2021, with subsequent releasing weekly. The first season will consist of at least 14 episodes.

Brad Rau is known for his work on Star Wars Resisntence (2018) and Star Wars: Force of Destiny (2017). He was five years old when Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back was released. Now he has an opportunity for his young dreams to come true with helping make The Bad Batch. Rau says,

“I think it’s really smart, going back to when Dave and Jen [Corbett, head writer,] were conceiving of the show, right from the get-go. Even though these are characters we’ve seen, the Bad Batch, they are pretty new characters. So if you’re someone who’s like, ‘Oh, I haven’t seen Clone Wars,' we feel like you could start with our show and not feel left out at all.”
