top five rock collaborations

#5 KISS and Momoro Clover Z with "Samurai Son"

The collaboration is really cool due to the fact that the song crosses two completely different languages, cultures and countries .

#4 Gerard Way and Deadmau5 with "Professional Griefers"

This crossover of two mismatched bands takes music in a totally new direction.

#3 Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty with "Stop Draggin' my Heart around"

The song starts as normal, then Tom Petty comes in for the first chorus, then the pair shares the last few verses and choruses. The song was written by Petty and Campbell for the Heartbreakers album Hard Promises. It was decided that the song would fit better on Nick's debut solo album; the switch was a great idea. The song fits Nick's voice, style, and attitude better than Petty's.

# 2 the Beatles and Eric Clapton with "While my Guitar Gently Weeps"

Clapton sings the lead and plays intricate guitar pieces in this song while McCartney sings the backup vocals and provides some piano accompaniment. The addition of another artist in this song gave it more depth and another prospective. Clapton is also the only outsider to ever play on a Beatles album . "On 3 September 1968, Eric Clapton played on sessions for George Harrison's composition, While My Guitar Gently Weeps at EMI's Abbey Road Studios in London. It is Clapton's most well-known guest recording session." Quoted: https://www.whereseric.com/the-vault/band-history-and-lineups/eric-clapton-and-beatles-was-clapton-ever-invited-join-fab-four

#1 Queen and David Bowie with "Under Pressure"

The way Freddy's and David’s voices matchup is just absolutely beautiful--a match made in heaven. The two singers add another layer of passion to the already amazing song. However, '"Not everything was sunshine and rainbows, after John Deacon had come up with the signature bass riff, May recalled, "I remember David Bowie reaching over to John and saying, 'No, don't do it like that,' and John going, 'Excuse me? I'm the bass player, right? This is how I do it!'" Quoted: https://www.thesound.co.nz/home/music/2019/08/the-story-behind-queen-david-bowie-under-pressure-song-collaboration.html
