5 Halloween Decorations/Props You Should Have This Year

By Dawson Cochran

As I’m sure you are aware, spooky season, the time of the year close to Halloween, has already started and if you didn’t know by now, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I like Halloween for a few reasons: candy, music, horror movies, and the topic of this article, decorations and props. So, let’s just jump right into this, shall we?

Skeleton Cat

The skeleton cat is a decoration that can be used to spook both trick-or-treaters and your cat (if you have one that is.). This decoration will work well in the house and on the front porch. The skeleton cat has a posable head that can be adjusted to your liking. You can find this boney feline on Oriental Trading’s website for $35.99.

Distressed Doll Succulent Plant Holder

Want something that will really creep your trick-or-treating visitors out? Then this “distressed doll succulent plant holder” should do the trick. This ceramic plant holder is shaped like the head of a baby doll, though it is not your average baby doll head. The head is pale white, and the eyes are a creepy, pitch dark black. The succulent plant in the plant holder, however, is faux and doesn’t require much care. You can find this creepy plant holder on HalloweenCostumes.com for $8.99.

Head In Jar

This head in jar prop is quite jaw-dropping, so to speak. If you are going for a laboratory type setting for your house or yard, then this prop should help to complete it. To make it look more realistic, pour some water into the plastic jar. This prop can be found on HauntedProps.com for $16.99.

Animated Floating Halloween Creatures – Zombie

The floating zombie decoration should be enough to scare the daylights out of any trick-or-treater who dares to enter your home. When activated, it moves in a walking motion and makes a deep, evil laughing sound. To enhance the scare factor, the red lights in the zombie’s eyes also flash when it’s activated. You can find this decoration on the Lakeside Collection website for $17.99.

Way to Celebrate Halloween Fog Machine with Remote

Ah yes, how could I forget the good old fog machine. The fog machine is useful if you want your yard or haunted house to look eerie, especially on Halloween. It releases a thick and steamy fog that could cover your yard or floor. The fog machine is also useful if you want to spice up your Halloween party and make it more interesting. This machine comes with a remote control that you can use to activate it. You can find this on Walmart’s website for $28.88.
