For the past few months, I have been enrolled at the community college known as Wabash Valley College, or WVC for short. Over that time my life has changed an incredible amount, but what are some of the highlights of my first semester? What exactly did I get up to in the few months of my life that I have gone to this school?
What did I get up to?

For me I wanted to go into a Radio/TV and Digital Media degree because I have always loved recording and editing videos. So, logically, I wanted to go into school for something that I enjoyed. Mr. Peach's classes were the ones I enjoyed the most as they were easy to understand. He explained everything in plenty of detail. I also enjoyed them because he had us go out and make videos or audio clips for projects.
Along with that, he had us go to games to record, announce, or stream. It gave us the skills to operate in that "field". My favorite moment for one of these classes was when I had finished recording a football game. We all gathered around Peach's car and were just talking about our school career so far, as it had been 2-3 months after the semester started. It was a fun and made me feel more connected with my fellow students after that experience.
In my first semester I had four classes in total, three classes with my teacher Mr. Peach and one with Mr. Bramlet. Now Mr. Bramlet was different from Peach in that his class was more about writing rather than recording or media. I didn't like writing that much, and while I hated doing all the work he had assigned, I loved his class as much as Peach's classes. Within it was a large group of people with different identities and views of the world, so every discussion was full of loud, funny arguments. My favorite moment in his class was probably when we were all introducing each other. Everyone was from a vastly different place, had various reasons for going to WVC, and/or had an interesting personality.
What are some of the highlights?

To me, some of the highlights happened on WVC grounds and some did not. My favorite highlight that happened at WVC was when my classmates and I had to make a radio drama. My group and I made some ridiculous audio about a western drama centered around a Taco Bell and taste testing enchiladas. It was stupid, but it was fun doing it all with my classmates. My favorite highlight outside of WVC was probably going to homecoming with my girlfriend. She looked wonderful, and we had a lot of fun with our friends afterwards. She loved it because it was one of the first dances she went to with someone she was with, so it was special to me as well knowing that.
Overall, I would say I have enjoyed most of my time at WVC, and there have been a few moments that I have really enjoyed while being enrolled here. Most of the change I have experience can be expected when going to a college, and I cannot wait to see what comes next semester at WVC!
