A Quiet place: day one

While technically a prequel, this third movie in the A Quiet Place trilogy brings us back to the beginning, "the day the world went quiet."

Expected to release on June 28, 2024, to a surprisingly silent audience, actors Lupita Nyong'o (Black Panther, 12 Years A Slave, Us), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things season 4), and returning Djimon Hounsou (multiple Marvel and DC films, Blood Diamond, The King's Man) take us back to the day the sound sensitive monsters arrived. Don't make a sound; the events that follow are sure to be edge-of-your-seat thrilling.

joker: folie a deux

Joaquin Phoenix (Napoleon, Beau Is Afraid, Her) is back as the twisted madman known as Joker. Coming to theaters October 4, 2024, the title character teams up with once psychiatrist, now psycho, Dr. Harleen Quinzel, better known as Harley Quinn.

The name of the movie, Folie A Deux, literally translated to "madness of two," is more commonly known as Shared Psychotic Disorder. The name clearly hints to the movies plot about the iconic duo and will no doubt be a wild ride.

Tim Burton is bringing back the original cast of the wildly popular hit from 1988. Spawning merchandise, toys, and even a cartoon, this sequel is arriving 35 years later.

Mission: impossible-Dead reckoning part 2

The 8th film in the franchise, featuring Tom Cruise (Top Gun: Maverick, American Made, Jack Reacher) as Agent Ethan Hunt, will hit the big screen on May 23, 2025. Featuring over-the-top stunts and action, this movie was originally slated to be the final film in the franchise; however, Cruise has expressed interest in keeping Agent Hunt active in the game of espionage.

What does the future hold for the IMF? Will Ethan continue to "accept the assignment" or will this series "self-destruct in 10 seconds?"

This is just a small sampling of the upcoming titles expected to show on the silver screen in the next couple years.
