Are you looking for something fun to do this summer? Perhaps something creative, hands-on, and guaranteed fun? Look no further than the Media Masters Summer Camp! Hosted by Kyle Peach, the lead instructor of the Radio/TV program, students in grades 7-12 can join us in the Wabash Valley College Radio/TV Studios to learn the ins and outs of the digital media world. So, whether your child dreams of becoming a YouTuber, podcaster, sports broadcaster, or influencer/content creator, they'll be able to get their start here!
What Students Will Do
At Media Masters, students will be able to do these things:
Blogging and digital storytelling
Radio promos
Audio production
Podcasting/voice recording
Behind-the-scenes media creation

Hosted inside the Radio/TV Studios at Wabash Valley College, students will have the chance to experience using real equipment while also learning from professionals. That's not all! According to Eli Grimes, who works in the Radio/TV department as a broadcast service specialist, when determining camp activities, they gauge student interest and then go from there. "Typically, we never really have a set plan per se. I think we kind of gauge the interest level of who attends the camp and go from there," Grimes said. He even mentioned campers in the past producing content using the green screen, as well as a talk/trivia show.

Students everywhere are already interacting with media, and may even be interested in it on a deeper level. Media Masters camp can help turn that passing interest into a fiery passion while also giving students the opportunity to learn some real-world skills as well as the confidence to create content of their own.
Here's an in-depth list of everything that campers will do:
- Build creativity and communication skills
- Learn basic production techniques
- Work in a professional environment
- Meet students with similar interests
- Gain experience with the media tools of the modern world
- Create original projects
